So this was in another recent blog entry of mine... but I don't care... I like it... and thought I would post it. I think it is a really great quote. I do think there are limitations to it though. You should be who you are... you should say what you feel... but you should also be aware of the people around you... particularly the ones that love you...whether you love them or not. No matter how you slice it, it is just not cool to be so self involved that you don't realize who you are hurting. It is also not cool to be so self involved that you don't even realize that your life is mirroring the people you most dislike at the moment. It is also not cool to believe that your own agenda is the only one that matters. (Sigh)
When people in my family are sad, then I am sad. I know that adversity and conflict in the end makes you stronger... but I wish that my family was just happier. Like a very good friend of mine told me..."Like old Jewish people say, Laura, this too shall pass"
There are so many things going on right now that it just gets soooo hard to breathe sometimes. I just keep plugging though. It's the only thing I know how to do.
